Privacy Policy

Peach Lasers YYC (“Peach Lasers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the personal and health information of every client across our three Calgary studios in Mission, Macleod Trail, and Marda Loop. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: February 7, 2026

Please note: This privacy policy is provided as a general template for informational purposes. It is not legal advice. Peach Lasers YYC recommends that it be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before being relied upon to ensure it reflects your specific practices and current obligations under applicable law.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information we collect through our website, our booking and consultation process, and in person at any of our Calgary studios. It is governed by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and by Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), which applies to private-sector organizations operating in Alberta.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number when you book a consultation, join a waitlist, or contact us.
  • Consultation and treatment information — details relevant to laser hair removal such as skin tone, hair type, treatment areas, relevant medical history, medications that affect light-based treatment, and a record of the services you receive.
  • Skin Analyzer inputs — the answers, and any photo you choose to submit, when you use our Skin Analyzer to generate personalized recommendations.
  • Website and device information — standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and analytics events, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Skin Analyzer photos

Any photo you submit to the Skin Analyzer is used only to generate your personalized skin and hair-removal recommendations. Photos are analyzed privately and are not stored on our servers or added to your marketing profile. We never sell photos or share them with third parties for advertising.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • schedule, confirm, and manage your appointments;
  • assess your suitability for treatment and deliver safe, effective care;
  • generate Skin Analyzer recommendations and consultation guidance;
  • respond to your questions and send appointment reminders and service updates;
  • send marketing communications where you have consented, which you can opt out of at any time; and
  • operate, secure, and improve our website and services, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

5. Third-party service providers

We rely on trusted service providers to run our business. These providers process personal information only on our instructions and only to provide their service:

  • Booking and scheduling — our appointment and salon-management system, which stores your booking and treatment records.
  • Email and SMS — providers that deliver appointment confirmations, reminders, and (where consented) marketing.
  • Website analytics — tools that help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

Some providers may store data outside Alberta or Canada. Where that happens, the information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is stored. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect your information to a comparable standard.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and measure aggregate usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function properly if you do. We do not use cookies to collect sensitive health information.

7. How we store and protect your information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — including access controls, encryption in transit, and limiting access to staff who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if an issue arises.

8. Retention

We keep personal and treatment information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to provide ongoing care, and to meet legal, professional, and insurance requirements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

9. Your rights

Under PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request a correction if it is inaccurate, and to withdraw consent for uses such as marketing (subject to legal and contractual limits). To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by law and may need to verify your identity first.

10. How to contact us

For any privacy question, access request, or complaint, contact our privacy contact:

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
